Frequently Asked Questions

What does Eligibee do?

Eligibee is an informational tool that quickly screens you and your family for potential eligibility for public benefit programs and connects you with relevant resources. Programs it may suggest include:

  • Healthcare (Medicaid, BHPs, PTCs, and CSRs)
  • Food Assistance (SNAP and WIC)
  • Cash Assistance (SSI, SSDI, and TANF)

How does Eligibee work?

Eligibee asks you seven simple questions about where you live, your age, your household size, and income. It then uses this information to suggest public benefit programs that your household might be eligible for and provides you with relevant links to learn more about the program and how to apply for it.

Is Eligibee an application for public benefits?

No. Eligibee is only an informational tool to help you find programs that your household might be eligible for. It is not an application. None of the information you provide will be shared with public benefit programs.

If Eligibee recommends a program, does that mean I'm eligible for it?

No. Eligibee is only a quick screening that suggests public benefit programs that you could be eligible for. Actual eligibility determinations are made by relevant State and/or Federal government agencies and involve complex criteria and calculations. The purpose of this tool is only to raise awareness about benefit programs and connect you with resources related to them.

If Eligibee does not recommend a program, does that mean I'm not eligible for it?

No. Eligibee is only a quick screening. It can be inaccurate, and it can miss programs.

Does Eligibee provide legal advice?

No. Eligibee does not provide legal advice, and the use of Eligibee does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Eligibee is only an informational tool.
